WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DERMAPLANING

  • QUICKLY AND SAFELY REMOVES PEACH FUZZ

Dermaplaning is a very popular salon treatment, that exfoliates the top layer of the skin and removes peach fuzz, making your skin look smoother and glowing. You can easily carry out this treatment at home with our Folding Dermaplaning Tool.

  • EXFOLIATES TO REVEAL SMOOTHER AND BRIGHTER SKIN

The dermaplaning process gently and effectively removes dead skin cells from the skin's surface that could otherwise block pores and cause the skin to look dull.

  • THE RESULTS LASTS FOR UP TO TWO WEEKS

The hair growth cycle varies from person to person but we recommend that you carry out the process around twice a month for best results. Try it and see what works for you.

  • BETTER ABSORPTION OF SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Because of its exfoliating effect, dermaplaning leaves your pores clear and ready to absorb any skincare product. It also leaves your skin smooth and peach fuzz free making it a perfect blank canvas for make-up.

MYTHS ABOUT DERMAPLANING

  • HAIRS WILL GROW BACK THICKER AND DARKER

This certainly isn't true. The only thing that could alter your hair texture and colour is a change in the hair follicle. This is commonly driven by hormonal changes. Dermaplaning cuts the hairs at the skins surface without affecting the hair follicle. You can be sure that your facial hair will have the same texture and grow at the same speed as it did before.

  • DERMAPLANING IS THE SAME AS SHAVING

This isn't quite right either. It is true that dermaplaning uses a blade which glides over your skin BUT dermaplaning and shaving are actually very different treatments. Dermaplaning is considered an exfoliating treatment as well as a hair removal one. It uses a smaller and finer blade than normal razors which allow it to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz safely and effectively.

  • DERMAPLANING HURTS

The thought of a blade sliding across your face might scare you, but it is not painful at all. Many people say dermaplaning feels like a gentle tickle or a brushing sensation.

  • DERMAPLANING CAN CAUSE SPOTS

This is untrue, in fact quite the opposite! Because dermaplaning exfoliates the skin, it removes dead skin cells and any built-up debris, which could block pores and lead to blemishes. We recommend that you always clean your face before dermaplaning. If you suffer from acne, we recommend that you wait for any breakouts to clear before carrying out the dermaplaning process.
